We are back from the international break, and for the winners, the new and exciting UEFA Nations League games, and the start of the weekend, Valencia would be up against Real Betis at the Mestalla Stadium. Valencia played for all draws in an impressive game during the weekend against Levante, with Los Che Els Taronges coming from behind twice to get the scores level. The hosts carved out eighteen shots in the opponents’ half but would be made to rue their chances as they went down to a goal in 13th minute, a run from Jose Luis Morales, opening up the midfield after the midfielder had picked up a loose ball from Spanish midfielder, Daniel Parejo.

Spanish striker, Roger Marti scored the rebound, and the Spanish forward tried to make sure of the three points with another goal coming up in the 33rd minute.

Los Murcielagos, however, got back into the game with goals coming from Russian winger, Denis Cheryshev and a penalty from Daniel Parejo, the midfielder making up for the lost ball leading to the first goal in the game.

Valencia has had a poor start to the season, with a draw against Atletico Madrid following up a loss to Espanyol the weekend after. However, with Los Che Els Taronges up against Juventus in the Champions League the coming week, Los Murcielagos could be faced with managing domestic intent with Champions League aspirations.

Real Betis, on the other hand, picked up a resounding victory over Sevilla during the weekend. The visitors had dominated for much of the game, with a 63% possession, and created chance after chance, with 11 goal scoring opportunities left to go a-begging.

They were, however, able to make a breakthrough, when on the 80th minute, veteran Spanish winger, Joaquin, beating the offside trap, expertly smashed the ball into the net, before onrushing Czech goalkeeper, Tomas Vaclik.

The visitors would be buoyed with the performance, having started the season with a woeful 3 – 0 loss against Levante, and coming up the week after with a draw against Alaves. Keeping up similar performances, impressive ball possession stats and taking their chances, Los Verdiblancos could be up from the impressive 6th position on the league table recorded the previous season.
