Analysis of  Manchester City Vs Brighton Betting Tips

Manchester City welcome Brighton to the Etihad Stadium on the Saturday afternoon fixture of Matchday 7 of the new Premier League season. The hosts had an exhilarating weekend with the win at Cardiff City Stadium making up for the previous week mid-week loss against Olympique Lyonnais in the Champions League season opener. A statement win it was as City took the Bluebirds to the cleaners with a 5 – 0 scoreline with goals coming from Sergio Aguero, Bernado Silva, Ikay Gundogan with a brace from club record-signing, Riyad Mahrez.

City, however, put an icing on the performance with a 3 – 0 win against Oxford United in the Carabao Cup competition during the week, with goals coming from Gabriel Jesus, Riyad Mahrez and capped by full-time added-time goal from teenage prodigy, Phil Foden.

Club midfield talisman, Kevin De Bruyne is yet to make his return from injury however it is obvious City are doing perfectly without him and would be looking to get on as they continue their unbeaten run in the Premier League this season.

Brighton, on the other hand, experienced defeat to Tottenham in the weekend. After the loss to Liverpool the previous month, the Seagulls have gone unbeaten, with draws against Fulham and Southampton.

French winger, Anthony Knockaert scored a consolation goal against the Lilywhites during the weekend and would be looking to add to his goal tally for the season.

Can the Seagulls get a result against City as they did with their neighbours, Manchester United? Out of the Carabao Cup competition having been knocked out a month ago, and strongly revived in anticipation of the weekend clash, though City could be a different animal altogether, the Seagulls could fancy their chances.
