Analysis of  Liverpool Vs Tottenham Betting Tips

Welcome back from the international break as we head into Matchday 5 of the English Premier League season. Liverpool welcome Tottenham to Anfield as the hosts look to make it a record-breaking 100% start to the season in defence of their title league aspirations. The hosts have successfully swatted all opponents aside, beginning the season’s campaign with the 4 – 0 win over West Ham. The Reds have gone on to record wins over Crystal Palace, Brighton, and showed their grit and resilience as they stayed put till the final whistle in the narrow win against Leicester City.

Reds’ keeper, the Brazilian, Alisson picked up the highlight for the game, as the goalkeeper conceded his only goal since the start of the season, albeit comically through his own hand, having given the ball away in a show of skill to Foxes’ striker, Kelechi Iheanacho.

Returning from the Internationals, where a clean sheet was kept in the win against the United States, the Brazilian goalkeeper would be yearning to get back on the pitch, aiming to show the Reds’ faithful why he’s No. 1, and why the Reds shelled out so much money for him during the summer.

Tottenham, in the meantime, had a dismal game during the weekend and would be glad the international break came at the right time to put the weekend behind them. Having taken the lead against the Hornets, the Lilywhites went down to two well-taken set pieces, losing the game within the space of eight minutes. Credit to the hosts, however, as they fought resolutely to get back into the game, but Lilywhites’ coach, Mauricio Pocchetino acknowledged his regret that his side could be taken apart so easily.

Spurs’ striker, Harry Kane, could be in need of a much-needed rest, but this is the game which the Lilywhites would be hoping he can set aside the fatigue and inspire his team to the win.

Stating the obvious, that this is the game of the weekend, would be an understatement, with the Reds possessing the chance to establish their title intent for the season, while the Lilywhites would be hoping to their season back in the mix with a strong win.
